We are proud to announce that the United States Golf Association has chosen the Martis Camp Club as the host course of the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. The championship will be conducted from July 20 - July 27, 2013.
Martis Camp’s Award-Winning Tom Fazio Golf Course
The Fazio golf course at Martis Camp was perhaps best characterized by two-time US Open Champion Lee Janzen: “Needless to say, Tom Fazio has designed some pretty amazing courses in his career, but after playing the Martis Camp course, I think this is without a doubt Fazio’s best mountain course.”
Perhaps that’s why Golf Digest ranked it the third best New Private Course in the country in 2009 and why the Pacific Coast Golf Association selected Martis Camp as the host of the 2011 Pacific Coast Amateur Championship.
This course is unique because it so seamlessly blends into the High Sierra landscape. With each hole painstakingly adapted to the natural topography, golfers can fully experience the area’s diverse natural beauty—from dramatic mountain views to holes that crisscross meandering forested streams.
The 66th junior amateur championship will be conducted using a variety of tees that will set the course up to play approximately 7,700 yards.
