Each winter, we start the season wondering when the snow will fall and how much we’ll have to play with. One of the many glorious things about summer is that we know for sure we’ll have months of epic days with the sunshine and outdoor activity Lake Tahoe is known for. When you drive past the wildflowers at the entrance to The Camp and you’re greeted by our Gatehouse Ambassadors, we aim to make these summer days stretch out before you with lots of ways you can enjoy them.
The golf course opens and our summer season begins on Friday, May 18th. Join us Memorial Day weekend for the Member-Member Madness, Luau Lunacy Dinner and additional tennis, fishing and Folk School events. Our Summer Concert Series begins June 23rd with LeAnn Rimes and continues through Labor Day weekend. Fourth of July falls on a Wednesday, giving us good reason to offer an entire week of celebratory activities including our Kids Camp-Out, Fantastic Fourth Celebration and Summer Family Festival. July and August bring the Ladies’ Sugar Pine and Men’s Mountain Muster golf tournaments and we’ve added some special new events including an amazing acoustic music experience as well as a Tequila Tasting & Dinner at the Camp Lodge.
Most importantly, we hope you’ll mark your calendars for the Martis Camp Community Foundation’s inaugural charity auction and dinner on Saturday, July 14th. Silent and live auctions will present a fantastic array of cool items and experiences up for bid including an Electrick Motorsports golf cart, Chris Craft outing and Member-sourced wine collection. Proceeds from the auction go to the MCCF, which works on your behalf to enhance the quality of life in the Truckee/Tahoe region through community grants, scholarships and tuition assistance. We hope to see you on July 14th for a wonderful night of food, wine, entertainment and dancing.
