Our Ambassadors work in numerous departments throughout
Martis Camp. From the Family Barn to the Camp Lodge and the golf course
to the Beach Shack, our operations require a wide range of skills and experience.

Our administrative team supports the Membership, Martis Camp Club, Martis Camp Community Association and Martis Camp Community Foundation. From accounting to payroll to human resources, the Ambassadors working in this department at the Camp Lodge keep operations running smoothly and efficiently, every day of the year.

The Beach Shack extends the Martis Camp experience to the shore of Lake Tahoe. From May to September, Ambassadors working here may assist with valet operations, provide food and beverage service, help Members with towels and chaise lounges, and facilitate the use of kayaks and paddleboards – all in one day!

Our Concierge team knows all the details about everything happening at Martis Camp. From answering incoming calls to greeting Members with a smile at the concierge desk, a friendly and attentive demeanor is vital to Ambassadors in this role. The Concierge team assists with dining and event reservations, manages mail service, shares knowledge of the local area and answers every question about life at Martis Camp.

At the Family Barn, no two days are ever alike! Ambassadors working here share varied responsibilities that change with the season. In the summer, they assist with kids camps, fishing at the lake, classes in the Art Loft and concerts in the amphitheater. In the winter, they assist with holiday events, sled and ski check-out, movies in the theater and all the indoor activities that make the Family Barn a fun place to escape the cold weather.

Our Fitness Ambassadors inspire all of our Members to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The Fitness area at the Camp Lodge includes a weight room with exercise equipment, fitness class studio for yoga and cycling, and heated outdoor lap pool with soaking tubs. Ambassadors attend to Members and guests using the facility and, if qualified, may also provide personal training and fitness evaluation services.

Our Food & Beverage Ambassadors work in front- and back-of-the-house positions at Martis Camp’s dining venues. From elegant dining in the Cliff Room to family dining at the soda fountain to mountainside dining at Lookout Lodge, there are many roles and responsibilities within the department. Ambassadors may also assist with weddings and special events throughout the year. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service distinguishes us from other Clubs and is the focus of every Ambassador working in Food & Beverage.

From May through October, our Golf Operations team provides an exceptional golf experience to every Member and guest who plays the course. Ambassadors in this department enjoy working outside for most of each day while assisting with carts, clubs, camps, clinics and lessons. Those who are trained and qualified may work as caddies or golf professionals.

Our Greens & Grounds team works throughout the year to maintain and protect the landscape of Martis Camp. During the spring and summer, Ambassadors in this department rise early to prepare the golf course for play and also tend to the landscaping around the community. In the fall and winter, they prepare the community for cold weather and clear the snow from roads and walkways. Our Greens & Grounds team also works year-round to clear debris, maintain our 26-mile trail network and manage forest health to protect the community from wildfire.

Our Housekeeping team maintains the impeccable standards of Martis Camp at every amenity and supports the needs of other departments including Food & Beverage. Their attention to detail is evident in every sparkling surface, clean floor, rolled hand towel and perfectly placed throw pillow. Although our Housekeeping Ambassadors often work behind the scenes, their diligence is up front and on display at every amenity.

At the Camp Lodge, Members enjoy the accommodating atmosphere of our Men’s and Ladies’ Lounges and Locker Rooms. These areas provide a luxurious space where Members can retreat by the fire, soak in the whirlpool, enjoy a cup of tea, shower after a ski day or lounge in a robe and slippers before a spa treatment. Ambassadors working in the lounges and locker rooms provide attentive service in support of relaxation.

Our Safety & Security team works at the Gatehouse at the entrance to Martis Camp. Ambassadors in this department assist with everything from managing home security to monitoring construction activity to patrolling the community to enforcing the CC&Rs. The safety and security of all Members, guests and Ambassadors is their primary concern in everything they do. Many Ambassadors in this department have previous experience in law enforcement and/or the military.

Our Ski Operations team works at Lookout Lodge from November through April. Ambassadors working here relish the winter environment and our proximity to Northstar California. Their daily responsibilities include vehicle valet, ski and board valet, assistance with equipment storage, coordination with Northstar for instruction and lessons, and generally making every Member’s ski day a great experience on the mountain. Ambassadors in Ski Operations enjoy direct access to the Martis Camp Express Lift so they can make some turns during lunches and breaks.

The Spa at the Camp Lodge welcomes Members and guests for relaxation and restoration. Services provided include massage, body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, medical spa treatments and acupuncture. Ambassadors who provide these services are licensed in their specialties and may work full-time, part-time or on-call depending on the time of year. The Spa team also includes Ambassadors in administrative roles supporting the front desk and Shop at the Spa.

Our Tennis department works from an exceptional outdoor pavilion surrounded by pine trees. Tennis Ambassadors encourage Members and guests to get out on the court for clinics, lessons and matches with fellow players. They also conduct kids camps during the summer. Tennis positions are seasonal, from May through September.

Ambassadors on the transportation team are responsible for helping Members and guests get safely to and from their Martis Camp home. They manage a small fleet of vehicles and provide private car service to and from local airports. Ambassadors on our Transportation team also drive our Community Ski Shuttles and may be called on to provide shuttle service for summer camps and off-site events.
