COMMUNITY GRANTS & GRANT RECIPIENTS
The Martis Camp Community Foundation awards community grants on an annual basis each fall. The application deadline is September 1st and grant awards are announced by October 1st. Grants are evaluated based on their alignment with the mission of the MCCF.

GRANT FOCUS AREAS
Community grants are awarded to non-profit organizations and programs in need that are making a positive impact on the greater Truckee community in four focus areas:
EDUCATION
The MCCF supports educational institutions that promote learning and intellectual development and that make education more accessible and effective for all students.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The MCCF supports organizations that provide services and opportunities that enable young people to develop to their full potential.
HUMAN SERVICES
The MCCF supports organizations that provide direct services to people in need, and help them lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
RECREATION
The MCCF supports organizations that improve the number and quality of recreational options that enhance the enjoyment and health of residents and visitors alike.

MCCF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
The MCCF believes quality education is the best investment in life, for ourselves and for our children.
Every year since 2012, the MCCF has awarded the Denise Martinez Scholarship in memory of former Martis Camp Head Golf Professional Denise Martinez. The $10,000 scholarship is awarded to a local female student in need who upholds high standards of athleticism, academic excellence and character.
The MCCF also recently announced the Martis Camp Ambassador Scholarship Program to assist eligible Martis Camp employees and their children in achieving their education goals.
Ambassadors may apply for tuition assistance for:
• Trade schools or similar institutions
• Attendance or coursework at accredited colleges
• Career advancement and professional development courses
Children of Ambassadors may apply for:
• PreK-12th grade tuition assistance
• Tutoring to improve academic skills and prepare for college • College tuition assistance of up to $2,500 per year
After this inaugural year of scholarship awards,
we look forward to sharing stories from Martis Camp Ambassadors about their achievements and experiences made possible through scholarships from the MCCF.
